David Wayne Moore passed away on March 19, 2026, at the age of 66. He was born on April 21, 1959, in Little Rock, AR to the late Jay Moore and Billie Rushing. In addition to his parents, David is preceded in death by his brother, Ronnie Moore, his sister, Barbara Nowlin; as well as his brother-in-law, Jimmy Nowlin.
He will be remembered as a hard-working, honest, beloved, and humorous man. To those closest to him, his warmth and wit made him unforgettable in the everyday moments that matter most. One story that remained a cherished part of David’s family life began when he was a boy. He went to the neighbors, and his mother sent his sister, Janice, after him. When she took him home, he began crying, realizing he left his “little red car” and “big black car” at the neighbors. What followed became an honored family tradition: lovingly terrorizing David with the mention of his “little red car” and “big black car.” Over time, the teasing turned into something gentler—an endearing, familiar refrain that became one of David’s own cherished memories, carried with affection and shared laughter.
Those left to cherish David's memory include his son's David Jr. and Jason; sisters, Janice (Charlie) Davis and Susan Eslick; nephews, Bruce (Brooklyn) Davis, Ben Eslick, Cruz Eslick, Jimbo (Theresa) Nowlin, Steve Nowlin, and Tim Nowlin; nieces, Terri Nowlin and Chris Moore; as well as many other beloved family & friends.
David Wayne Moore will be deeply missed and respectfully remembered.
A Memorial Gathering will be held on April 4, 2026, at 12:00 pm at Pinecrest Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 7401 HIGHWAY 5 N, ALEXANDER, Arkansas 72002. A Memorial Service will follow at 1:00 pm.
