Dennis Ray Smith. Jr. - Poppy, 80 of Little Rock, passed away Saturday, November 22, 2025. He was born July 14, 1945. He is survived by his sister Phyllis Smilack of Pennsylvania and his half brother Dwayne Young of Little Rock, his two children daughter Deana Luyet (Thomas) of Wye Mountain, son Glenn Smith (Alicia) of Little Rock, his five grandchildren, Preston Smith, Nathan Luyet (Aidan), Trevor (FI Nejla), Mitchell Luyet (FI Isabelle) and Presley Smith.
He was an estimator for Bemberg Iron Works for 40 + years. He was an avid hunter and gun collector. He loved being on Lake Ouachita camping with his late wife Mimi, children and grandchildren. We will always remember his stories and experiences that will hold a special place in our hearts.
The family would like to thank Brenda Drawbaugh, sister in law for her care in his last year of life.
A graveside srvice will be held on Saturday, December 13, 2025 at 10:00 AM at Forest Hills Memorial Park in Alexander, Arkansas.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made in his name to the National Rifle Association (NRA) and/or the Arkansas State Police Association
