Doris J Gibson

Doris Jean Gibson, 85, of Little Rock, Arkansas passed away on Thursday, January 1, 2026. She was born in Riverside, California to parents Louise Effie Price and Julius Therman Anderson. She graduated from Booneville High School in 1959. She retired from Guardsmen Chemicals, where she worked in accounting and payroll. She enjoyed shopping, eating out, especially Mexican food with a frozen margarita or catfish with hush puppies. She was a big fan of Court TV and detective mysteries. Her biggest joy was her family, especially her great grandchildren more recently. She left us knowing Christ as her Lord and Saviour, of which we rejoice! She is survived by her two daughters Rebecca Louise Brewster (Richard) of Bryant, Arkansas and Patricia Dawn Brooks (Todd) of Crown Point, Indiana. Three grandchildren, Tripp, Kathryn, and Susan. Two great-grandchildren, Karen and Sofia. One sister, Flora Jo Anderson of Russellville, Arkansas. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Shirley Lloyd of Danville, Arkansas, daughter Karen Leigh Gibson of Little Rock, Arkansas, grandsons Bobby Lee Gibson and Cory Daniel Bowers both of Little Rock, Arkansas, and granddaughter Anna Noelle DeJong of West Chicago, Illinois. We will be forever grateful for Miss Mary Neely and Miss Barbara Solee with HomeWell Care for allowing our mother to be able to live in her own home these past two years. A private graveside memorial will be held in the spring, to be determined.
