Jane found joy in the simple and meaningful moments of life. She loved bowling, music, and dancing. She delighted in planting flowers, working puzzles, watching sports, and savoring a fresh cup of Folger’s coffee. Her home was always filled with the comforting sounds of country music and the steady presence of a game on television. Whether it was football, baseball, basketball, golf, or her favorite programs, there was always something playing that made her home feel alive and welcoming.
Though she never sought the spotlight, Jane’s presence was steady and powerful. She stood firmly behind her children, always cheering them on, never missing a game or an important moment. She was strong and steady, both firm and deeply loving, teaching her family to be brave and independent while always offering a safe place to return. To her, family was everything.
During her time at Magnolia Landing, Jane’s light shone in a special way. She became a source of joy and laughter for all who knew her there. Even as Alzheimer’s took much, it seemed to reveal a deeper radiance within her spirit. Magnolia Landing became a place where she could brighten every room she entered, touching lives in ways that will not be forgotten.
The passing of Elizabeth “Jane” Turpin leaves a deep and tender space in the hearts of her family, her friends, and the caregivers who loved her.
