Howard Ewald Brooks

Howard E. Brooks, Jr, 70, of Benton made the transition into his heavenly home on March 12, 2026 after a battle with Metastatic Bladder Cancer and End Stage Renal Disease. There to greet him were his parents, Howard and Jewel Brooks, brother Randy Brooks and a host of uncles and aunts. He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Debbie Ross Brooks, son, Robert Brooks (Kim), daughters, Crystal Liu (Dave), Angela McTavish (Dan), grandchildren, Dylan and Drew Brooks, Luci and Lili Brooks-Liu, Vivian and James Brooks (JB) McTavish, sisters Brenda Brooks, Marguerite Mayfield, and Karla Langford (Robert), nieces Breanna Langford and Jenny Webb, nephews Robert Langford and Kyle Mayfield as well as a host of very close friends.

Howard was born July 8, 1955 and graduated from Parkview High School in 1973. He retired from Alcatel-Lucent after 29 years as a telecommunication installer. He worked for Almatis an additional 5 years after retiring from Lucent. Howard is a member of Mabelvale Methodist Church.

Howard loved to deer hunt, fish, ride motorcycles and work in the yard. Howard never forgot a face and would call old acquaintances by name whenever he ran across someone from his past.

Howard loved his family and friends and enjoyed spending time with them as much as possible.

Visitation will be held at 10 AM followed by an 11 AM Service, and 12 PM Burial on Saturday, March 21, 2026, at Pinecrest, 7401 Hwy 5 North, Alexander, AR. Pallbearers: Chris Warren, Josh Baumbeck, Jason Gentry, Kris Kuykendall, DJ Chandler and Aaron Mears.
