John "J.W." Wesley Bray

J.W. was a retired mechanic for Pulaski County Road and Bridge, and previously the owner/operator of a Kerr-McGee service station. A US Army Veteran who served his country in Korea, he was active in the VFW, where he enjoyed playing in pool tournaments. He was a pilot and past President of the Little Rock Aero Club, and a lifelong member and past Master of the Congo Masonic Lodge. Throughout his life, he was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish, and he was known as a good cook. He was generous, and ready to help others whenever he could.

Those left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Janna (Jon) Cox; son, Zane (Tammy) Bray; grandchildren: Jonathan (Samantha), Jeb, Jane and Jasper Cox, Logan Wesley, Holly Kristina Bray; great grandchildren: Haylee, Kyleigh, and Eren; and sister, Sarabelle (Charles) Chapman.

J.W. was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Johnnie Ruth Sossamon; and former wife, Gerre Ann (Poat) Bray.

Visitation will be at 2pm , Saturday, February 19, at Pinecrest Funeral Home, with Graveside Service following at 3pm. The family requests that memorials be made to the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
