

Opal Ballinger Fisher, age 99, of Mabelvale, Arkansas passed away on Sunday, June 15, 2025, at The Manor in Little Rock, Arkansas. She was born on December 10, 1925, in Hector, Arkansas. Opal was preceded in death by her husband, of 60 years, Herbert Lee Fisher; her father, Rell Ballinger; mother, Clurna Ballinger; brother, Lorn Ballinger (Lois); and their sons Randy and Roger Ballinger.
She was born in Hector, Arkansas but spent most of her life in the Delta (Parkdale, Dermont, Eudora). The last 20 years, she lived in Mabelvale, Arkansas across the street from her son and daughter-in-law. Opal was a lady of faith who had a strong work ethic, was independent, full of wisdom, and great wit. She had love for her Lord and her family. Opal was a member of the Village Creek Baptist Church. In declining years, she missed being at church and her church family.
Opal is survived by her son, Herbert Arlen Fisher (Eloise Fisher); granddaughter, Cheryl Anderson (Patric); great-grandson, Braxton Fisher Anderson (Olga); great-granddaughter, Trystin Anderson Figueroa (Austin); grandson, Todd Christopher Fisher; and great-grandsons, Jacob Christopher Fisher (Morgan), Cade Phillip Fisher, and Ty Wilson Fisher; she is also survived by a brother, Lavoin Ballinger (Pegi), and his two children; daughter, Rhonda Reese (Billy), and her three daughters, Rikki, Reagan, and Riley, as well as his son, Bryan Ballinger, and his two daughters Alexa and Taylor Ballinger; and also many beloved grands from her brother's family whom she loved dearly.
A visitation for Opal will be held Monday, June 23, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Pinecrest Funeral Home, 7401 HIGHWAY 5 N, ALEXANDER, AR 72002, followed by a funeral at 10:00 AM.
