

Patsy Ann Whitehurst, 88, of Lunenburg, Arkansas, entered the presence of her Lord and Savior on July 18, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on May 19, 1937, in Lunenburg, Arkansas, the youngest of three daughters to Curtis and Annie O’Neal.
Patsy met the love of her life, James Whitehurst, while in school, and the two were married on June 1955. Their loving union was blessed with two daughters, Lisa Ann Lemay (Mike) and Robin Annette Long (Ron).
Patsy's legacy continues through her four grandchildren: Shana Ann Settle (Zach), Joshua James Long (Ashley), Baylee Ann Eads (Garrett), and Makenzie Morgan Martin (Waylon); and six great-grandchildren: Kate, James, and Caleb Long, Harper and Shelbi Settle, and Casein Eads. She is also survived by her nephew, Tim Whitehurst (Carol), their daughter Meagen, and brother-in-law, Pete Whitehurst and his sons, David and Scott Whitehurst and their families,
She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, James; her two sisters, Nell Whitehurst (Y.D.) and their daughter Teresa Whitehurst, and Lera Richardson (Earl).
Patsy was a devoted and selfless wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Above all, she lived her life to serve, honor, and glorify her Savior, Jesus Christ. She was a faithful member of Geyer Springs First Baptist Church, where she deeply loved her church family, Pastor Dave Hughey, and Pastor Emeritas Bro. Paul Sanders.
The Whitehurst family extends heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Jauss and her nurse Sherri at CARTI Cancer Center and their team for their compassionate care, and to Arkansas Hospice for their unwavering support during Patsy's final days.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Geyer Springs First Baptist Church or the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, at Pinecrest Memorial Park, 7401 AR-5, Alexander, AR 72002.
