

Sharon Faye Harper Redditt Hetterick, 79, of Little Rock passed away April 5, 2023 with her family by her side. Sharon was born December 24, 1943 in Enid, Oklahoma to Darest Carlyle “DC” and Laveda Faye Harper. She was member of the First United Methodist Church. She was raised in Little Rock with three brothers and graduated from Mabelvale High School in 1961. Sharon was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
Sharon and her first love, Jim Redditt, married in 1963 and from that union there were three children: John, Robin and Jason. She dedicated her life to raising her children and was a generous, loving and kind mother. During this time, she also dedicated her time to family businesses Harper Optical and Central Optical. She retired after 40 years working side by side with her brother Ralph and Sister-in-law, Pat. It was said she was a “ Voice “ for the business.
Sharon joined the Fraternal Order of the Eagles “Aerie 60” a few years after her husband passed and continued her membership for 32 years. During those years, she found her second love, Bill Hetterick and they married in 1990. Sharon served in many offices including Local and State President of the Women’s Auxiliary. The motto for the FOE was “People helping People” and she did just that. Sharon dedicated her time to raising funds for several local charities and had a passion for helping others. Her local charities included Children’s’ Hospital, Alzheimer’s and Cancer research. It is here she made many friends around the State and Nation traveling to support the fundraising of other Aeries.
Sharon loved her grandchildren, they were the light of her life. She loved to attend school functions and baseball games. Her favorite school function was Grandparents Day. She was an excellent cook and made all meals from scratch. She loved canning jelly and salsa, watching hummingbirds and her favorite past time was planting flowers and watching them bloom. She especially loved her hydrangeas and pansies.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Bill Hetterick; children: John (Dana) Redditt, Jason (Kristina) Redditt, Robin (John) Redditt Boley, Mark (Debbie) Hetterick, and Kristi (Lance) Hetterick Browne; grandchildren: Brooke, John, Isaac, Julia, Dylan, Hayden, Michael, Robbie, Rhett, Skylar, Brandon and Ryan; great grandchildren: David, Whit, Lincoln, Griffin, Ian, Landon, Amber, Grayson, Imogene, Walter and new one coming in May; brothers: Ralph (Pat) Harper and Kenny Harper; and other extended family.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Jim Redditt; her parents, DC and Laveda Harper; brother, Larry Harper; and step-daughter, Kelly Hetterick.

Funeral service will be held 2:00 pm, Monday, April 10, 2023 at Pinecrest Funeral Home with burial following at Pinecrest Memorial Park.
