Tony was born on July 20, 1937 in Black Oak, Arkansas. He was the 4th of the 5 children born to Sherman and Inice (Bowen) Cothern. He entered the USAF in 1954 and met and married Barbara the following year. After being discharged in 1959 they packed up their car and their meager savings and drove west to California.
He graduated from Northrup University with a BS in Electrical Engineering, and later received his MBA from the University of Santa Clara in the late 1960's. His career included designing equipment to learn about the sun and manufacturing computers. His work sent him to many places including two years in Guadalajara Mexico and Scotland, and visits to mainland China. In 1978 Tony and Barbara moved to Thousand Oaks, CA and settled there until retiring to Tucson, AZ in 2005.
We are comforted by knowing that Tony is no longer in pain and has been reunited with Barbara.
