Vanessa Jo Mackey

Vanessa Jo Mackey was born October 29th, 1953 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas to the late Paul Ryan Sr. and Lucille Ludlum Ryan. She departed this life on November 12th, 2022 with family by her side. She is preceded in death by her brother Paul Ryan Jr.

Vanessa married the love of her life Richard Mackey on April 5th, 1974. They had 48 years of great marriage.

She leaves to cherish her sweet memories, her husband Richard Mackey, sister Judy Perovich, one son Christopher Mackey (Briana), two daughters Heather Mackey (Sean), and Amber Settoon (Lee). She is also survived by 6 grandchildren, Leah Mackey (Greg), Matthew Green, Zachary Mackey, Jacob Mackey, Conner Settoon, and Kinsley Mackey.

Vanessa graduated from Pine Bluff High School in 1971. Vanessa worked for the Pine Bluff School District for 2 years as a Child Nutrition Manager, and 29 years for the Little Rock School District as a Child Nutrition Manager until she retired in 2016, she was passionate about taking care of the children that she served every day.

Vanessa dedicated her life to being a fantastic and wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a very family-oriented woman, she had a heart of gold. She was also passionate about cooking and sewing. Over the years she has made numerous outfits for her children and grandchildren.

We will miss her greatly and forever keep her memory alive.

There will be a celebration of life on November 18th, 2022 at 2:00PM at Pinecrest Funeral Home, 7401 AR HWY 5, Alexander, Arkansas, 72002.
