

W J “Dub” Stanton, 87, passed peacefully on October 30, 2024 in Little Rock, AR. He was born September 20, 1937, in Arkadelphia to Oscar and Carmen Stanton. Dub is survived by his daughter, Ladonna, sons Jay and Jon, 8 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and his brother Ted. He was a devoted Christian, loving husband, father, and friend. He is now joyfully reunited in heaven with his beloved wife, Joyce. Dub’s life was a testament to faith, family, and a deep love for the outdoors. His warmth, humor, and gift for storytelling left a lasting impact on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. A man of kindness and generosity, Dub shared his faith in words and a life well-lived, inspiring those around him to live with purpose and love.
Dub Stanton was a devoted member of Geyer Springs First Baptist Church, where he played a pivotal role in establishing the Handyman Ministry over 30 years ago. His dedication and service have left a lasting impact on our community, providing invaluable assistance and support to those in need. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the GSFBC Handyman Ministry, continuing Dub's legacy of helping others.
A visitation will be held Tuesday, November 5, at Geyer Springs First Baptist Church at 10:30 a.m., followed by a memorial service at 11:30 a.m. Burial will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park at 1:00 p.m. Family and friends are invited to join in honoring his remarkable life and faith.
