C Elizabeth Nugent

A native of Alexandria, Virginia, Elizabeth attended Saint Rita’s School and Maury School and graduated high school in 1995 from Wakefield Country Day School. She studied geology at the University of William and Mary.

She had many interests and talents, and was well-known for her quilting, baking, and gardening. She worked 13 years for Giant Food and particularly enjoyed working in the bakery and the floral departments.

Elizabeth was preceded in death by her father, William Nugent, and her sister, Kelly Nugent.

She is survived by her mother, Mary Hope Billings, her brothers Patrick Nugent and Mark Nugent, her sister Rebecca Nugent, her brother-in-law Toby Stidham, her sisters-in-law Liz Nugent and Rani Nugent, her nieces and nephews Hunter and Payton Nugent, Jack and Daisy Stidham, and Rose Nugent, and by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

The Visitation will be held on Monday, August 25th, from 5pm to 7pm, at Demaine Funeral Home, 520 S. Washington Street, Alexandria, Virginia 22314.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Tuesday, August 26th, at 10:30am at Saint Rita’s Catholic Church, 3815 Russell Rd, Alexandria, Virginia 2230. Graveside services at Saint Mary’s Cemetery in Alexandria will follow immediately after the Mass.
