Ethel "Ella" Lafaye Morrison

Ethel “Ella” Morrison, age 77, rejoined the kingdom of Heaven after passing in her sleep on January 8th, 2023. She was predeceased by her brothers Sammy and Melvin, as well as her sisters Melvina, Louise, and Marie. She is survived by her husband, Bob; her brother, Bert; her sisters, Joyce, Sandra, Shirley, and Anne; and many nieces and nephews.

A lifelong resident of Alexandria, Virginia, Ella was a diehard fan of the Washington football team. Though she held several jobs throughout her life, her most fulfilling was cleaning homes with her sister, Anne. Ella adored the color red, and she loved her collection of eagles. She spent her time sewing, eating chipped beef gravy biscuits, and enjoying the company of her loved ones. Ella was a devout Baptist and a member of the Lighthouse Baptist Church in Alexandria; she loved her church and her country. Ella was a wonderful wife for over fifty years and a lifelong friend to Bob. She will be lovingly remembered by her family, who hopes she finds peace in Heaven.

Services will be held at Lighthouse Baptist Church in Alexandria, VA, on Saturday, February 11 at 10AM. Reception will follow a second service held for Barbara Morrison (11.30AM).
