Eugene Oliver Roverse

On Tuesday, June 7, of Alexandria, VA. Beloved husband of the late Mary Gill Roverse for 52 years. Loving father of Michael, Mark, Matthew, Gene Jr, Carla, the late Colleen Roverse Takase and doting grandfather of eight.

Eugene served with the Army for 30 years throughout Occupied Germany, Korea and several tours in Viet Nam. He and his family settled in the DC area where he continued to support the Department of Defense in the communications field as a civilian with BDM International.

Eugene was an active and respected member of his church and community associations, the VFW and Knights of Columbus.

Friends and family are invited to call Friday, June 10, at Demaine Funeral Home, 520 S. Washington St, Alexandria from 4 to 6 pm, to be followed by a reception at his home from 6 to 8 pm.

A Mass of Catholic Burial will be held at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 8710 Mt. Vernon Hwy, Alexandria at 8 pm that evening.

Internment with Full Military Honors will be held at Arlington National Cemetery on September 22, 2011 at 3:00pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family would ask that Catholic Charities be considered.
