

On August 18th Frank Dominic Batistoni, a kind loving son, brother, cousin, friend, uncle, husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather and great grandfather, joined his loving parents Frank and Josephine, and his older brothers Alexander and Rudy Batistoni, in heaven. Born March 9th 1930 in Bound Brook, NJ, he learned to swim in the stream at the end of his street, played cornerback on his high school football team, and worked in stagecraft in his school's theatre. After graduating, Frank enlisted into the US Navy. From 1951-54 he saw the world. His first tour was on the USS Midway and his next three tours were on the USS Roosevelt. After his honorable discharge he worked on airplanes with his brothers at Colonial Airlines. In the early 1960's Frank moved to Alexandria, VA bringing his parents with him. He met his loving wife of 55 years, Charlotte, on a blind date arranged by his then sister-in-law. Five years later Frank become a father to his only child, Deborah. He was a devoted Lutheran, head usher and one of the first members of Prince of Peace church and loyal worker for the Arlington County schools. In the mid-90's he became a father in law to David and grandfather to Corinne, Claudia, and Dominic. He adored and was always proud of his grandchildren. He attended art shows, softball, baseball, soccer, basketball, and football games, and graduations. In 2018 Frank became a great-grandfather to Aiden whom he loved to facetime with. Being an uncle to his many nephews and nieces and growing up with his brothers and cousins brought him extreme joy. He was always kind to all he met and had a smile on his face 24/7. Frank's legacy of love will live on forever in his loved one's hearts. The family will hold a service on September 1st from 3-5pm at Demaine Funeral Home. At a later date his ashes will be brought to his hometown Bound Brook, NJ.
