Frank T Pimentel

On December 5, 2012, passed away peacefully at home in Fort Belvoir, Virginia. Beloved husband of 17 years to Joan McHugh Scandling Pimentel, and of 36 years to the late Patricia “Pat” Kiernan Pimentel. Beloved father of Susan Michaelson (Sheldon); Laura Pimentel (Rick Howard); Patrice Brink (Robert), and Frank Pimentel (Gretchen); beloved grandfather of ten; and beloved brother of his twin, the late John (Evelyn), of Albert (Sally) and Antonio (Jill). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews; an extended step-family; and other relatives and friends who remember him with great fondness. A native of Fall River, MA, he was a 1952 graduate of West Point, and served with distinction for 27 years in the US Air Force, including a tour in Vietnam, followed by many years in different roles in the financial world. The family will receive friends at DEMAINE FUNERAL HOME, 520 S. Washington St., Alexandria on Saturday, December 8, from 10-12, followed by a service on site at 2 pm. A Mass of the Resurrection will be held at the Memorial Chapel, Fort Myer, Friday, March 1, at 12:45PM with interment at Arlington National Cemetery with full military honors to follow. Anyone wishing to attend should enter via the Hatfield Gate, and plan to be on the base by not later than 12:15PM.
