A noble man that adored his wife. Faithful. God fearing. Protector. Provider. Example. Dignified. Fun! I miss you every day daddy. 

The boys loved their Papa so much. I am so happy they were able to spend so much time with him. 

Just an old memory from my childhood. The two greatest men of my life. 

JT was funny, intelligent, honorable, and loving.  A wonderful husband, father, son, brother and grandfather.  He was our North Star.  To me he was God’s manifestation of kindness, generosity, selflessness, fairness, honesty, and love.

My brother JT was truly a inspiration to me. He would always give sound advice even if he was giving it in a indirect way.  He was always telling his life stories and we would always find humor in them all. We would laugh so hard to the point that tears would flow. I'm missing him so much right now.  He was my Big Brother.❤

Looking back, I don’t think he even realized it, but JT always showed himself fatherly to me. After my own wonderful dad passed away when I was five, JT was the first adult male - other than my grandpa - who made a fatherly imprint in my life. 
I remember many years ago when he was moving his family, my aunt Jannie and cousins Gina and Bug, to Germany. I was sitting alone in the living room taking in the hustle and bustle of goodbyes around me. JT was heading out the door with a bag in hand packing up the car. As he passed by, he kneeled down, gave me a kiss on the cheek and said bye. Actually he said, “Stay sweet,” but that was his goodbye. Lol! It’s good for a child to have such positive, kind interaction with adults. 
Many years later, I was maybe 33 years old. I had just had my first and only child, Madison. It must have been at a family reunion where I had also brought  her father with me. I later found out that JT had challenged him about his intentions towards me, i.e. marriage! Of course, Walter was offended. But, I was so relieved that someone had actually done what my own father would have if he were alive. 
My aunt Jannie and cousins Gina and Bug were so very blessed to have had a man of such character in their lives every day. The impact he had on his family is evident. He was a gift to the world. 

My grandfather had so many stories and experiences  to share.  When I was younger he would tell me but at some point the story would reach an end as I wasn't old enough to hear the rest and he'd say “I will share that when you're older”, oh how I wish I could remember the scenarios he would bring up. I was never worried about the time we had together being cut short as he had been there for me since birth there was never a time i needed him and he wasn't there. Although the stories are incomplete he was able to complete his mission in paving the way for me and the young men in the family. Im knowing that he is watching over each and every one of his members family and friends, protecting us on our journey as God guided him on his. I love you Pa-pa. 

He was the head of our family, always giving the kids advice!

One I remember:  we were at the house maybe in Tennessee and JT was washing his vehicle one morning, I went outside and saw him putting armor all on the outside.  I asked what are you doing?  He replied armor all the black molding!  I never heard of that before, continued helping and he started on the wheels and he had wheels with many small openings and he was cleaning each and every little opening!  I was shocked that a person would run a rag on every surface of every opening,  when it was done though that gold Beamer shined like a brand new gold bar!!  Detailing king!!

I am so thankful for the time we had together. You welcomed me to the family with open arms, supported, and encouraged me. You will forever be loved and missed. 

I remember living with JT and his family for about 6-mths.  During that time, I found JT to be kind, generous, funny, and orderly.  He made sure I had dinner daily, we played games, and had long conversations.  I felt at home in his house.  I am thankful for the time we shared and will miss him greatly!

You were that constant that we all knew and could depend on. Since losing you, everyday without you has felt like a day without the sun. I feel lost right now, but I am doing my best to take it hour by hour and day by day. 

My father loved God, his family and his country. He proudly served in the US Air Force and had great pride! He was so cool, loyal, and loving.
