It is with enormous sadness, the Cooke family announces the death of Major Joseph Trenton Cooke (retired), beloved father of Carolyn, Catherine and Geoffrey; loving grandfather to Douglas, Daniel and Sebastian Bland, and Matthew, Thomas and Christopher Chapman. He was preceded in death by his wife, Iris Mitchell Cooke. Born in St. Louis, he graduated from Christian Brother’s College and attained a Bachelor of Science from St. Louis University. Joseph was an Air Force fighter pilot and proudly served his country in both World War II and Korea. Upon retirement from the service, Joseph lived in Hong Kong for 35 years retiring from Merrill Lynch as vice president. Major Cooke will be interred at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
