

Karen Leigh Chambers was born in Paragould, Arkansas on January 2nd, 1948. She passed peacefully in her home in Mt. Vernon, Virginia on May 8th, 2020 from Covid-19. Karen is survived by her three children: Rodney L. Chambers and his wife Jannet Chambers, Patrick A. Dillard and his wife Rachel D. Dillard and Elizabeth A. Cain and her husband Cameron J. Cain. She also had three loved grandchildren, Zoey L. Dillard, Luke P. Dillard, and Piper L. Cain.
Karen was a Public School Teacher, a College Professor, a Contracting Officer for the federal government and a Realtor. She never stopping learning and had a passion for education. Karen received a MBA and PHD in Early Childhood Development.
She loved the beach, gardening, shopping and mostly spending time with her family. Her life will be celebrated by the lives she touched.
Karen will rest in peace next to her husband Joseph Lee Chambers that died in the Vietnam War at the Jonesboro, Arkansas, Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery.
