Leon A. Staskiewicz

Leon Anthony Staskiewicz also known as LTC Stask”ie” passed away January 28, 2025, surrounded by his family. He dedicated over twenty years to the United States Army as a member of the Signal Corps. He served in both the Korea and Vietnam wars. He continued to be of service to the Army as a civilian at the Pentagon before full retirement.

The son of Leo J Staskiewicz and Marie Janczak, was born and grew up in Buffalo, New York and attended Niagara University where he received his Bachelor of Science degree.

Leon Staskiewicz is survived by his wife Madeleine Staskiewicz, son Leon P Staskiewicz, daughter Monique Bowman and sister Claudia Burczyk. He was preceded in death by oldest daughter Marguerite Gibson. They will remember his generous heart, humor, and life’s stories.

His service honoring the life of Leon Staskiewicz is March 14, 2025 at 1 p.m. at St Louis Catholic Church and internment funeral will be at 3 p.m. at Mount Comfort Cemetery in Alexandria, Virginia.
