Leslie H. Gilbert

Colonel Leslie Harold Gilbert (United States Army-Retired) of Fort Belvoir, Virginia, passed away on Monday, January 23, 2023. He was a decorated veteran and a true family man. His outgoing nature and genuine sincerity was apparent to all he met. He had the ability to make others smile with his warmth and sense of humor. He loved life and lived it with integrity and pride. He will be dearly missed. A funeral service will be held on March 4, 2023, at Plymouth Haven Baptist Church at 11:00 a.m. with a reception following in the Fellowship Hall. Visitation will be at Demaine’s in Old Town Alexandria on March 3, 6:00-8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Humane Society of Fairfax County or to Wounded Warriors, two causes that were important to him.
