
It is with profound love and gentle sorrow that the family of Linda Lou McSweyn announces her passing on November 30, 2025. Born in Fort Wayne, Indiana, Linda Lou Campbell was the daughter of loving parents whose guidance shaped her early life. She pursued her passion for learning and service, first attending school in Indiana and later building a fulfilling professional career. She was born on January 20, 1940, Linda’s life was defined by kindness, dedication, and a quiet strength that touched everyone fortunate enough to know her.
Linda devoted her professional life to nurturing and supporting others. She first found her calling as a pre-school teacher, where her warmth and patience shaped the early lives of countless children. Later, she brought her steady hand and sharp mind to her work as an accountant, serving her community and colleagues with integrity and care. In all that she did, Linda carried a deep commitment to compassion, learning, and service.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Hugh Randall McSweyn, with whom she shared a lifetime of partnership and devotion. Linda’s legacy also lives on through her daughter, Karen Louise Smith, her son-in-law Bill Smith, and her cherished grandson, Aidan McSweyn, each of whom brought her tremendous pride and joy.
Linda will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her unwavering love for her family, and the quiet grace she brought to every chapter of her life. Her memory will continue to inspire acts of kindness, patience, and devotion in all who knew her.
