Marguerite was born in San Antonio, Texas, on May 8th, 1926. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur R. Blackwelder Jr., her husband of 54 years, and her son, Arthur Rankin Blackwelder III. Marguerite is survived by her son, Marshall Erick Blackwelder; daughter-in-law Patty, of Dumfries, VA; two Granddaughters, Leslie Page Howard of Gainesville, VA, and Erin Elizabeth Martin of Catharpin, VA; a great-granddaughter, Brooke Howard, and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at Aldersgate United Methodist Church, 1301 Collingwood Road, Alexandria, VA, on June 20th at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Aldersgate United Methodist Church Memorial Fund or the charity of your choice.
