Peter Thomas Clarkin

Our beloved husband and father Peter Thomas Clarkin passed away peacefully on August 1st at the age of 83. He is survived by his wife, Sharon Clarkin, his children, Jennifer Lansburgh, Chris Clarkin, and Allison Poyac-Clarkin, his grandchildren Aidan Lansburgh, Logan Lansburgh, Dylan Lansburgh, Jacques Poyac-Clarkin and Nicolas Poyac-Clarkin, and son-in-law Chris Lansburgh. He was preceded in his passing by his daughter Linda Clarkin.

He was born in New York on August 3, 1941. Known for his good humor, strong work ethic and love for his family, Peter will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Peter’s family asks that he be remembered for the joy he brought to others in his life not the sadness of his passing.

The family will be hosting a viewing on August 17th from 4pm to 8pm at The Demaine Funeral Home located at 520 S. Washington St., Alexandria VA 22314. A funeral service will be held on August 18th at 10:30 am at Good Shepard Catholic Church located at 8710 Mount Vernon Hwy, Alexandria, VA 22309. All friends and family are welcome. The family asks that donations to the Alzheimer’s Association (www.alz.org) be made instead of flowers or other gifts.
