Phyllis Jean Petro

Phyllis Jean Petro, 57, passed away August 5 at her residence after a courageous battle with breast cancer. She was raised in Levittown, New York, along with her nine brothers and sisters. She relocated to Alexandria, Virginia, in 2009 to be with her beloved husband, Michael Petro.

Along with her husband, she is survived by her brothers and sisters, Peter McAndrews, John McAndrews, Michael McAndrews, Thomas McAndrews, Kevin McAndrews, Patrick McAndrews, Clare McAndrews, Sheila Toomey and James McAndrews, along with her three step-children, Michael, Julia and Caroline Petro, and numerous loving nieces, nephews and friends. She was proceeded in death by her parents, Peter and Phyllis McAndrews.

Phyllis spent 34 years at Cigna as a Vice President for National Account and a Senior Client Manager.

Family and friends will gather for a visitation on August 8, from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. at Demaine Funeral Home, 520 S. Washington St., Alexandria, Virginia . A funeral mass will be held August 9, 10:30 a.m., at Good Shepard Catholic Church, 8710 Mount Vernon Hwy, Alexandria, Virginia.
