Richard Gordon

RICHARD GORDON, 88, athlete, scholar, aviator, spy, officer, lawyer and fun-lover extraordinaire, passed away on May 5, 2012. He is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years Gayla Burnside Gordon. He was the wonderful father of Amy Gordon Kessel, Christopher Burnside Gordon, Jennifer Gordon Levin, sons-in-law Bart Kessel and Victor Levin, daughter-in-law Pilar Gordon, and adored grandfather of Carlin Kessel, Chloe Kessel, Zoe Levin, Amelia Levin, Colby Gordon, and Paloma Gordon. He touched everyone who knew him and will be in our hearts forever. Visitation for family and friends will be May 12, 2012 at Demaine Funeral Home, 520 South Washington Street, Alexandria, VA, from 4 to 7 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at the Old Presbyterian Meeting House on May 14, 2012 at 11 a.m. A Burial Service will be held at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
