

Robin Copeland was born on April 25, 1965 in Daytona Beach, Florida spent most of her youth in Darien, CT. She graduated from Southern Methodist University, attended the John F. Kennedy School in Berkley, California and St. Andrews University in St. Andrews Scotland. Robin entered government service working in Russia in 1991. The first year she became the Energy Attaché. She was elected to the Inner Agency Council which at that time was the largest embassy in the world - the first person under fifty and the first female to hold that slot. She had numerous assignments in the world of oil and gas but primarily nuclear energy, nuclear proliferation of weapons of mass destruction. She was most recently Worldwide Director of Non-proliferation for CRDF. She died on October 30, 2011 in Alexandria, Virginia.
She is survived by her brother Bill Copeland, mother Jane Fitzpatrick and her father, Jack Copeland.
