Col. “Bill” Rettig of Alexandria, VA passed away at Fairfax Hospital on July 16, 2016. He was the devoted husband of Nancy and the caring father of a son, Buzz Rettig, a daughter, Lisa Hartzinger, 12 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. He served in the US Air Force for 28 years where he was a command pilot. He retired to work as an executive in the IT business. A memorial service will be held at Washington Farm United Methodist Church, 3921 Old Mill Road, Alexandria, VA on Saturday, July 23 at 11 am. A burial service will be held at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts can be made to his beloved church.
