Angel Jose Torres

On January 6, 2022, Angel Jose Torres, husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully and happy in Orlando FL. He was surrounded by the love of his children and grandchildren. He was 90 years old. He is survived by two children; Madeline & Edgar, six grandchildren; Angel David, Gabriel, Ashley, Monica, Daniel, Veronica, and five great grandchildren.

Angel Jose Torres Collazo was born in Juncos, Puerto Rico in 1931. Angel met his devoted wife Juanita in high school. They were married for 60 years. He served in the US Army as a Paratrooper and fought in the Korean War. After his military service, he studied Architecture at the Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York, Inter American University in Puerto Rico, and the University of Florida in Gainesville, FL. Following his graduation from the University of Florida, he and his wife, Juanita their three children, Angel Jr, Madeline and Edgar, moved to Puerto Rico. He started a very successful Architectural and construction business in Puerto Rico. Eventually, he and Juanita returned to Florida where he continued his architectural and building business. As a lifelong learner, he obtained a Doctorate degree in Divinity at the Florida Theological Seminary and became a professor there. He subsequently became an ordained Pastor at the Church of God of Prophecy. He led the church until his retirement. He was also a member of El Redentor Presbyterian Church.

Angel was devoted to his family, business, and the Lord. His memory will be a blessing to his family and all who knew him.
