Anne Marie Yobst, 90, of Casselberry passed away Sunday, August 9, 2015. The daughter of Francis R. and Emilie Simonsen Thaler. Anne was born July 9, 1925 in Washington, D.C., where she grew up. She graduated from George Washington University and earned a Master’s Degree in Library Science in 1970. She later served as a librarian and administrator in the Montgomery County, Maryland Library system for 12 years. She was married to the Rev. Harry. B. Dalzell from 1946 until his death in 1979, and they had four children, David, who preceded her in death in 1974, Janet Klein (Eugene) of Winter Springs, FL, Martha Cook (Larry) of Longwood, FL and Mary Gawlik (Rudy) of Cheverly, Maryland. In addition she is survived by a grandson, two granddaughters, and two great-granddaughters. She was married to Gilbert Yobst from 1982 until his death in 2004, and they lived in Cambridge, Maryland, where she was a volunteer at the Salvation Army Thrift Store for many years. She moved to Florida in 2010. She was a member of the Knit and Crochet Group at Maitland Senior center, where she knit many items to donate to Florida Hospital’s neonatal and cancer units. Anne loved animals of all kinds. She donated to many animal rescue organizations, maintained multiple bird feeders which brought her great joy, was active in protecting the trumpeter swans that lived on the water at her Maryland home. And her dog, Teddy, a delightful border collie, was the most important thing in her life right to the end.
