Antonia "Lee" Passalacqua

Antonia “Lee” Passalacqua, 90, of Longwood, FL passed away on July 2, 2015. She was born to the late Michael and Grace Vitale on October 19, 1924 in New York City, NY. Lee grew up during the Great Depression and started working at a young age at a watch company. Soon after, Lee became a cosmetologist and was a highly-skilled hairdresser. She married her late husband, Salvatore “Sam” Passalacqua, on Sept. 7, 1947. The two were made for each other and were inseparable. They enjoyed many wonderful times together, including trips to their beach home in Montauk, Long Island where they spent many summers with friends and family. Lee was very involved in her church, both St. Helen’s Catholic Church in Vero Beach and Annunciation Catholic Church in Altamonte Springs, FL. Lee has lived at Brookdale at Island Lakes for the past three years and loved her life there! She will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved her. She was preceded in her passing by her husband of 57 years, Salvatore “Sam” Passalacqua; son, Jacamo Passalacqua; brother, Anthony Vitale; and sister, Grace Mannino. Lee is survived by her caregivers and family, niece Denise McAuliffe and nephews Michael and Anthony Mannino; as well as many other nieces and nephews; brother, Gasper Vitale; two grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends. Local visitation will be held on Monday, July 6 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm at Baldwin Fairchild West Altamonte, 90 Weathersfield Avenue, Altamonte Springs, FL 32714. Second visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 7 at 11:30am prior to 12:00pm Funeral Service at Aycock Funeral Home, 6026 N US Highway 1, Ft Pierce, FL 34946. Committal and entombment will follow service at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens (funeral home located at cemetery). Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Baldwin Fairchild West Altamonte.
