Betty Jane (Rentzel) Smith passed away September 9, 2015 in Orlando, FL. Born December 21, 1923 in Dover, PA to Ellen and Walter Rentzel. She married Troy Smith in Baltimore, MD on July 1, 1943 and they moved to Orlando in 1954. She is preceded in passing by her husband, parents, brothers Richard, Roy, and Walter Jr., and sisters Louise Martin and Margaret Hayes. She is survived by sons Troy and Rodney (Connie) daughters Janie Calpin (Jim), Ellen Holland (Bobby) and JoAnn Stalcup (Phil), sisters Jean Harner, Ethel Fitzkee, Pat Kulp, and Mary Green, twelve grandchildren, twenty-four great-grandchildren, and many other neices and nephews and their families. She enjoyed reading and gardening and loved her Lord. A service will be held a Baldwin Fairchild Funeral Home, West Altamonte Chapel at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, September 15, 2015 with visitation at 10:00 AM. Betty will be buried by her husband at Glen Haven Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that any donations be made to the Navy Veterans Memorial or Hospice of the Comforter.
