Carey's high school class at Episcopal are holding their 50th reunion this weekend. He was a great friend and will be remembered and roasted with favorite memories this weekend. Loved seeing the pics of him from his high school days! He really was a great guy, always encouraging others to do the right thing! Katharine Lurie Jones

We miss you. The world is a lot less bright without you here. We miss our laughs, our constant support, we miss having someone nearby who cared and looked out for us. As the days go by we miss you more and more. Although your absence is a dark void for us we take comfort in knowing that you are somewhere bringing your light, love and laughs to others that you love. Have a margarita for me my friend! We love you!

Carey was the greatest brother ever. His helpful personality touched everyone he knew.  A great Dad to his son Michael and a cornerstone to the Mann family.  His memory will live on forever and his spirit will always be with us.  With much respect and love Carey will be greatly missed.

I’m so sorry for your loss. Your father was an amazing person. I remember back in 2010, he took us to visit Universal with his badge. I actually ran late that day and I came in feeling terrible that I made an exec wait. He made me feel super comfortable that day and I ended up having an amazing time at Universal visiting Harry Potter - thanks to your dad! I only met him once, but he made a great impression! 

I sincerely appreciate what he did and I’m sure he is looking down on you with a smile. I hope you find comfort in the beautiful memories you’ve shared with him. My deepest sympathies to you and loved ones who are mourning his loss. 

I remember Carey mostly as a boy and teenager. He was always fun, playful and fast. For example, he spoke so fast with a slight southern accent that for a person qhom English was not his mother tung, was sometimes not easy to configure....but I always did. 

Speed also went into activities. Carey loved driving fast. What I specifically Remember is us driving to Orlando in big rain storm, nit being able to see anything through the windshield..
.and Carey was like sooo fast I nearly had a hard attack. I had to keep my eyes closed half the time. But we made it, always whole and fast :))))

Speed also involved sports....and Carey was the person to introduce me to windsurfing and gave me my first lessons. It something I pressed later on on my life with success....but it did not stick for long. 
His teaching was playful and care free. He made me feel like I could do no wrong...and even if I did, it just felt like part of the fun.

Carey Mann was a man that loved to laugh and make others laugh.  We often encouraged him to try stand up as Chevy Chase’s double. 
 
Carey was the man I loved and married for 20+ years.  We met at a wild toga party and had a wild ride for many great years.

Carey was an amazing father and best friend to Michael and many of Michael’s friends.  Since his passing I have spoken to many of these now grown up children and they all spoke of their loving memories of Carey.  He was their 2nd dad. 

Thank you for loving me and for the wonderful son we created together.  You are missed and in our hearts and memories forever.  Lisa

In memory of my brother, I have adopted a dolphin that resides in the St. John’s River.  It will be known as the Carey D Mann dolphin.  UNF Biology Department will follow its progress, health and update the whereabouts. Your sister, Connie
