David Hernandez

He was the husband of Aida Luz Hernandez for 48 years. He was born in Patillas, Puerto Rico on October 23, 1957, a son of the late Cecilio and Guillermina Hernandez.

He enjoyed fishing, talking about Puerto Rico, eating Puerto Rican food, and recently enjoyed going on his first cruise and a trip to Puerto Rico. He was often called the neighborhood watch because he connected with his neighbors and created lifelong friendships. He was also very devoted to his faith and enjoyed attending church. Most of all, David loved spending time with his wife, children, grandchildren, family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Aida Luz Hernandez; his children, Aida Steadwell and her husband, Jeremy of Maitland, FL, David Hernandez, Jr. and his fiancé, La'Tasha, of Land O’ Lakes, FL, Adam Hernandez and his wife, Isabel of Tampa, FL; his siblings Gloria Torres and her husband, Julio of Puerto Rico, Bethzaida Vasquez and her husband, Rafael of Lowell, MA, Rev. Dr. Cecilio Hernandez, Jr. and his wife, Maria of Lowell, MA, and Maria Anstiss of Dracut, MA; his grandchildren, Tyler, Darrien, Brisi, David, Adam, Lillyana, JaMari and Saraí; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, friends and neighbors.

In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate a cash donation to help cover the funeral expenses.

Services will be officiated by David's brother, Rev. Dr. Cecilio Hernandez; his Pastor, Pastor Colón of La Iglesia de Hoy; and his Nephew, Arnaldo Mejias Jr.
