Doris Minerva Montalvo passed away on July 11, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born on October 12, 1949 in Bayamón, Puerto Rico and raised on the Lower East Side of Manhattan, she was known for her strong will, quick wit, and steadfast devotion to those she loved.
A dedicated mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother; Doris is survived by her six children: Ivette, Miguel, Wendy, Lizette, Christine, and Raymond, fourteen grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
An avid reader and fan of medical and crime dramas, she filled her days with books, television mysteries, and computer card games. Though strong-minded and outspoken, she showed her love through constant acts of quiet generosity and support.
She will be remembered with love and deeply missed by all who knew her.
