Ed was born on September 11, 1935 in Cleveland, OH. He graduated from South High School in Cleveland, and earned his two year degree from Seminole Community College later in life. His professional career began in 1956 at Winter Park Telephone Company, retiring in IT management with Sprint-United Telephone Company after 37 years. He then went to work at OUTSOURCE, enjoying every day with many other retirees and new friends; his final retirement was in December 1997. During his telephony career, he joined his wife in chairing eighteen of the Annual Winter Park Parking Lot projects, sharing that work with so many good friends and family volunteers each year.
He considered himself an IT ‘geek’, able to analyze and solve any problem, yet was a remarkable handyman and craftsman. He loved family celebrations, and many years of travel throughout Europe and the US, checking 35 states off his ‘bucket list’. He so loved his pets throughout the years, especially his rescue ShihTzu Miss Muffy.
He is survived by his wife, Dorene, son Chris (Mary), daughter Aline, and daughter Carolyn (Dennis), his three grandchildren Erin, Kyle (Liz) and Elise, and his brother Paul (Fran). Additionally, he is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews and their families.
A private family service will be held in September to celebrate his life.
