Joan Baxter Coen, 70, entered into rest on September 11, 2015. She was born on June 7, 1945 in Akron, Ohio to Albert and Marie Crim Baxter. She and her husband, John moved to Florida from Charleston, SC in 1980. Joan was a teacher at Riverside Elementary School in Orange County and was a member of the Key Biscayne Presbyterian Church. She and her husband enjoyed going on cruises and she was a plant enthusiast, particularly fond of Orchids and Bromeliads. Joan was also member of the Red Hat Society. A Memorial Celebration in honor of Joan’s life will be held at 7:30 PM, Wednesday, September 16, 2015 at the Baldwin Fairchild West Altamonte Chapel, 90 Weathersfield Ave., Altamonte Springs, FL 32714. Joan is survived by her husband, John C. Coen; 2 sons, John Robert Coen and Charles Warren Coen; Daughter, Eve Jennings; 2 grandchildren, Christopher and Maddy Jennings.
