JOYCE RAINS KNIGHT Joyce Rains Knight of Winter Park, FL and childhood home of Princeton NC journeyed to her eternal heavenly home on Monday morning July 13th, 2015. Joyce was born Dec 13th, 1938, along with her twin brother Boyce "Toad" Rains to Walter Bruce and Odessa Godwin Rains. She was married to Hugh Knight for 43 years before his death in 2000. Together, with their four children they enjoyed camping, boating, waterskiing and fishing. Later with grandchildren, friends and family, they cherished many years of Topsail Island fun and sun! Moving to Florida in 1988 fulfilled a lifelong dream for Joyce. She spent the next 25 years outside year round gardening or searching out the best yard sales! At rest, you would find her on her back porch, enjoying her ice tea along with breeze and shade from her oak tree. Joyce is survived by her daughter Ivy Knight and granddaughter Rachael Wiggins and Rachael's Dad Adam. Son Kam Knight, his wife Martha Canelo and grandson Evan Knight and his wife Katie. Grandsons Kameron Knight and Austin Knight along with their Mother Debbie Herring Knight Daughter Leigh Kruczek, husband Mike, grandson Garrett and granddaughter Kelly Sanidas, husband Mike, children,Tyler and Blake. And Joyce's youngest son, Marc Douglas Knight Brother James "Jim" Morris Rains and sister Jean Rains Denning. She is also survived by the most wonderful extended family of in laws, nieces and nephews and precious friends she considers family. Preceding her in heaven are her parents, and siblings Walter Bruce Rains Jr., Mary Evelyn Rains Edwards, Kathryn Ann Rains McCabe, Boyce Rains, Judy Rains Pate, and Lester Duran Rains. A Memorial service will be held Saturday July 25th at Princeton United Methodist Church, Princeton, North Carolina with visitation starting at 1:00pm with services beginning at 2:00pm.
