Karen Sue Fritz

She was born in Canton, Ohio, on June 15, 1943. Karen was married to David Irwin Fritz on September 25, 1965.

Karen was an elementary school teacher for over thirty years in Orange County Public Schools.

She was a member of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church and had a passion for reading, horses, and playing saxophone in the University of Florida Gator Marching Band.

She loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, above all, and dearly loved her husband, children, and family.

She is survived by her husband David Irwin Fritz, her sons David Paul Fritz and John Michael Fritz, her grandchildren Daniel, Libby, Drew, and Ben, and siblings Jaime Howard, Jan Keene, and Joe Swindell.

A visitation will be held at St. Luke's Lutheran Church, located at 2021 W State Rd 426, Oviedo, FL 32765, on February 3, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. The funeral service will take place at the same location immediately following the visitation, at 11:00 am.

The committal service will be held at Highland Memory Gardens, 3329 E Semoran Blvd, Apopka, FL 32703, on February 3, 2026, at 1:00 pm.
