Katherine Gould Duls

She was born in Salinas, California on February 2, 1932.

Father was George Sylvanus Gould and Mother was Katherine Elizabeth Carty Gould.

Jean graduated from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and received a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education.

She was married to Charles Henry Duls Jr on July 29, 1959. They were married for 62 years before Charlie passed.

Jean was an Elementary teacher in North Carolina before moving to Florida in 1961. She then became a homemaker.

She was in the Welcome Wagon, volunteered and worked with children with special needs. She was a friend to everyone and would help them in anyway. She was a beloved wife, mother and MeMa.

She is survived by her children: Carty Nugent (daughter), Son-In-Law (Fred Nugent) and Chuck Duls (son). Granddaughter: Celia Elizabeth Escanuela and her husband (Hugo Escanuela). Great Grand Children: Noah Padilla, Lucas Escanuela and Jacob Escanuela. Sister: Mary Jane Elmore. Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Henry Duls Jr. in 2019 and her brother William Russell Rice in 2025.
