

She was born in Vermillion, South Dakota at Ellsworth Airforce Base to Wesley C. Whitehouse (US Air Force) and Hazel Bradford Whitehouse. Kay graduated from Muskingham University and earned a master’s in education at the University of Pittsburgh. She was married to Henry Fred Perdue and worked as a high school teacher in between raising her children. Prior to retiring, she taught computer networking at Seminole Community College for 5 years. Kay was an active member of the local recovery community for many years, a wonderful mother, friend and sponsor to many and this January 10, 2023 would have celebrated 40 years as a Friend of Bill W.
Kay is survived by two children, Kurt Robbins (Orlando, FL) and Vicki Hawhee (Indian Rocks Beach, FL), and 4 grandchildren, Austin, Lauren, Jessica and Spencer.
Services for Kay will be held on Sunday September 18 at Baldwin Fairchild Altamonte Springs. The reception of friends and family begins at 2pm and services are at 3pm. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a charitable donation to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America.
