Kristine Grace Lanken, 27, Springfield, passed away May 18, 2016 at Mercy Hospital. She was born October 27, 1988 at Subic Bay Naval base, Philippines to Ramon Zabat Cortez and Maria Floresa Beltran. Her father was stationed there at the time with the U.S. Navy. She was a graduate of Barrington (Illinois) High School/ she was married to Samuel “Nic” Lanken April 25, 2008. She has worked as and was a beloved bartender and was an avid photographer and glass blower. In addition to her husband and her parents, Kristine was survived by her brother Andrew who is currently serving in the U.S. Marine Corps. And her in-laws Scott Lanken of Springfield and Catherine Zych of Hallieford, Virginia. A Celebration of Kristine’s life will be held on Thursday, May 26 at Baldwin Fairchild West Altamonte. Visitation from 1-2pm with service at 2pm. Entombment at Highland Memory Gardens to follow.
