Louis V Gundy, 97, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 15, 2024 in Orlando, Florida. He was originally from Illinois but lived most of his life in Florida with his wife Arcangela (Lina), his daughter Gloria and his son William (Bill). He was one of eleven brothers and sisters and outlived them all.
He joined the Navy at the age of twenty one and served our country from 1948 to 1968 before he retired.
He enjoyed many things like collecting coins, albums and even played the accordion but his passions were bowling and golf. His golf buddies called him “Down the Middle Lou” as his first shot was always down the middle of the fairway. And fun fact, for most of his time playing golf he chose not to ride in the golf cart but to walk the course instead for the exercise.
He was described by many as being the kindest and friendliest person you would ever meet. He was someone who would always look on the bright side of things. His sweet smile and warm spirit would touch anyone's heart.
Louis is survived by his son Bill and his grandson Logan. His wishes were to be cremated and his ashes to be placed next to his wife and daughter.
