Marjorie Katherine "Kitty" Owen

Marjorie Katherine Owen, 95, of Altamonte Springs, FL passed away on March 27, 2017. Affectionately known as “Kitty,” she was born to the late William and Mary Harrell in Wakefield, VA on September 10, 1921. Marjorie was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was married to her surviving husband, Avery L. Owen III, for 64 years. Kitty was gifted in crafts, such as sewing and embroidery. As a hobby, she created many beautiful, detailed dolls that she sold as Kitty’s Creations. She was deeply loved by her family, who enjoyed her special sense of humor and the many wonderful memories she created with them. She is also survived by her children, William E. Woody (Sheila), Avery L. Owen V, and Grace M. Owen; sister, Mary Hay; 6 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren. Marjorie was preceded in passing by her son, Roy Jackson Woody Jr. Service for Marjorie will be held Monday, April 3 at 10:30am at Baldwin Fairchild West Altamonte, Rev. Hugh Lackey officiating. Entombment will follow at Highland Memory Gardens, Apopka, FL. In lieu of flowers, please consider sending a plant for services, as Marjorie loved her porch garden.
