Mary A. Crume, 69, of Altamonte Springs, FL passed away suddenly on July 20, 2015. She was born to the late Byron and Margaret “Peggy” Anderson on October 2, 1945 in Morgantown, West Virginia. Mary’s father passed away when she was young, and her mother later remarried to the late Lee Davis. Mary was born in West Virginia, but raised in Nebraska. She moved to Florida in 1969 where she would meet and marry her husband of 45 years, Johnny Crume. Mary met Johnny racing cars, an activity they would later enjoy together. They raised two children together, Jenny and Bob. Mary’s family was her life. She spent her time taking great care of her children and, later, her children’s children that would refer to her as “Meme.” Mary will be truly missed, but never forgotten, by all those who knew and loved her. She was preceded in her passing by her parents and her step-father. Mary is survived by her husband, Johnny Crume; daughter, Jenny Crume; son, Bob Crume; brother, Rick Anderson (Alice); sister, Linda Lazear; and grandchildren Shelby Crume and Brody Choplin; as well as many other close family and friends. A Celebration of Mary’s life will be held on Saturday, July 25 at Baldwin Fairchild West Altamonte, 90 Weathersfield Ave., Altamonte Springs, FL. A gathering will begin at 2pm with a Memorial Service at 2:30pm. Memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in memory of Mary.
