Nancy Ellen Stallard

Nancy Ellen Stallard, age 99, passed away peacefully at her home on March 28, 2016. Born in Bondtown, Virginia. She was a daughter of Fred M. and Sarah Stidhan Beverly. Nancy is survived by her children; Robert Hall, Shirley Brown, Joe Hall, Steve Stallard, Thelma Jean Vaughn and George Stallard. She is also survived by seventeen grandchildren, thirty-two great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her first husband Richard Hall, her second husband Earl Stallard, Sr., her son Earl Stallard, Jr., her grandson Richard Earl Brown and her granddaughter Janet Hall. Nancy was a faithful Christian and a member of the New Life Community Church since 1959. She has served in many positions, including Deacon. She was ahead of her time in being an independent woman. Nancy was a homemaker and a wonderful cook. She owned a restaurant in Pennington Gap, Virginia called Nancy’s Café. She managed a hotel in Derby, Virginia, and worked in the food industry after moving to Florida on Easter weekend in 1959. Nancy lived her life to serve others and she had a great love for everyone, children, grandchildren, family members and friends. She cooked wonderful food for everyone who came through her doors, including people who provided services for her. Nancy was the beloved matriarch of her large extended family and will be forever missed.
