Richard A Anderson

Known to many as Rick, he was a devoted husband to Carol, his cherished wife of 58 years, and a loving father to Rick Jr. (Monica), Mike (Laura), and Bob (Kerry). He took tremendous pride in his family and found immense joy in being “Papa” to his eight grandchildren: Trey, Austin, Evan, Michael, Aiden, Jaxson, Brooke, and Bobby.

Rick honorably served his country as a Captain in the United States Army before embarking on a distinguished and well-respected career in banking, spending more than 20 years with Barnett Bank. His leadership, integrity, and kindness left a lasting impression on colleagues and friends alike.

A lifelong adventurer, Rick embraced every opportunity to live fully. He played college football, was an avid weightlifter, loved deep-sea diving, and later developed a passion for offshore boat racing. Whether in the mountains or on the water, he found peace and happiness in the outdoors—especially when surrounded by his family. Of all his pursuits, the time he spent with his grandchildren was, without question, his greatest joy.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Andy and Elizabeth, and his sister, Carol.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Rick’s life at a visitation on December 1st from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Baldwin Fairchild (994 E. Altamonte Dr., Altamonte Springs, FL 32701). A Funeral Mass will follow on December 5th at 10:00 AM at Annunciation Catholic Church (1020 Montgomery Rd., Altamonte Springs, FL 32714).
