Ruth Register Wilson

Ruth Register Wilson of Longwood, Florida, passed away on Monday, December 20, 2021, with her family by her side. She was born on October 19, 1960 in Dunn, North Carolina to James and Evelyn (née Johnson) Register. Ruth met her husband, Steve Wilson, when she was 18 before getting married in March of 1984. Ruth and Steve were soon after blessed with their son, Kyle, and, later, with their precious granddaughter, Lydia Paige. Ruth worked in the Florida school system since the early ‘90s where she forged her closest friendships with Maryann and Betty. She most recently served as the Registrar at College Park Middle School in Orlando, Florida. Ruth most enjoyed spending her time with family and friends by going on walks, beach trips, dining out, or seeing her favorite artists in concert. Her biggest joy was doting on her only grandchild and devoting herself to Lydia’s happiness.

Ruth was preceded in death by her father, James, and brother, Tony. She is lovingly remembered by her husband Steve, son Kyle, daughter-in-law Krista, mother Evelyn, brothers Joe and Jimmy, sisters Sue and Joy, her granddaughter Lydia, and many nieces and nephews.

Private memorial services will be held in North Carolina to celebrate Ruth’s life so those who loved her will have an opportunity to share memories of her remarkable life.
