Salvador Maximiliano Penzol

Salvador Maximiliano Penzol, 82 of Apopka, passed away Thursday, January 6, 2022. He was born May 29, 1939 in Havana, Cuba. He was very proud of his status as a Cuban American and he knew how blessed he was to live in this great country.

Salvador is survived by his son Salvador L. Penzol (Christie Penzol), sons Jeremy Penzol, and Ethan Zeller. Daughter Jacqueline Strange (Dale Strange), five grandchildren, Paula Escalante (Gustavo Escalante), Rachael Sims (Judd Sims), Stephen Strange (Nicole Strange). Samuel Strange and Jacob Strange. Daughter Vivianne Penzol (Jorge Sanchez), two Grandchildren, Logan Shell (Anna Shell) and Hollyanne Mortelle (Dante Mortelle). He also had ten Great Grandchildren: Camila Sims, Jim Sims, Gabriella Sims, Ales Escalante, Emma Escalante, Sofia Escalante, Peter Escalante, Olivia Strange, Eliza Strange, Jasper Mortelle and soon to be born Juniper Mortelle.

Salvador loved all of his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He would tell anyone who would listen all about his family! Sal loved nature and plants of all kinds. He had a talented green thumb and would grow plants or trees from seeds and rejoiced when they would sprout and grow so tall! If you were his friend, you had a tour of all his plants that he liked to grow at least once!

Salvador relished good food and great music. He loved to sing and dance! He lived his life to the fullest whenever possible. Marine Terrace was a Timeshare Sal and Martha went to every year in July for over 20 years. The entire family had many wonderful memories spent there on the beach in room 7c.

Salvador enjoyed his membership in several different congregations of worship. He made many friends in bible study, at luncheons, baptisms and served as a deacon in the Seventh Day Adventist church. He will be missed by his many friends and his church family.

Visitation will be held Friday, January 14, 2022 from 10 am -12 pm at Baldwin Fairchild Funeral Home, West Altamonte Chapel with a Funeral Service beginning at 12:00pm at the funeral home. A Private Interment will be held at Woodlawn Memorial Park, Gotha, Florida. Dish gardens or potted plants are preferred over floral arrangements.
